What Is Simple Past Tense ?
Simple Past Tense is a verb tense that used to talk about things that happened or existed before now.
What Is The Purpose of Simple Past Tense?
To talk about things that happened or existed before now.
There are three types of Simple Past Tense, what are they?
1. Simple Past Tense Affirmative
2. Simple Past Tense Negative
3. Simple Past Tense Interogative
Forms :
1. Simple Past Tense Affirmative
Subject + Verb 2 + Adverb of time
Subject + Was (I / She / He / It) / Were (They / We / You)
2. Simple Past Tense Negative
Subject + Did not + Verb 1 + Adverb of time
Subject + Was (I / She / He / It) / Were (They / We / You) + not
3. Simple Past Tense Interogative
Did + Subject + Verb 1 + Adverb of time
Was ( I/She/He/It ) / Were (They/We/You ) + Subject + ?
What Is The Time Expression of Simple Past Tense?
1. Yesterday → A friend of mine was here yesterday.
2. Last ... → He ignored my call last week.
3. ... Ago → Jumilah came to my house three weeks ago.
B. PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
What Is Present Perfect Tense?
Present perfect tense is a verb tense that is used to express actions that occur at a non-specific time.
What Is The Purpose of Simple Past Tense?
To express actions that occur at a non-specific time.
There are three types of Present Perfect Tense, what are they?
1. Present Perfect Tense Affirmative
2. Present Perfect Tense Negative
3. Present Perfect Tense Interogative

Subject + Have/Has + Verb 3
2. Present Perfect Tense Negative

What Is The Time Expression of Simple Past Tense?
1. Ever / Never → Have you ever been to Scotland?
2. Since → It hasn’t rained since February.
3. So Far → So far, I have not met him.
4. Yet → Adam hasn’t received the document yet.
